Alstroemeria colourita, also known as Peruvian lily is one of my favourite cut flowers, and this compact variety is also a great addition to borders and containers. Cut and bring the flowers inside to enjoy, or when they're finished blooming outside, remove stems all the way down to the ground to encourage new shoots.
